Diamond Skies - Wedding & Function Band
Diamond Skies are an Elgin based wedding and function band. The band is made up of 5 experienced and talented musicians. With Four amazing singers within the band Diamond Skies strives to deliver outstanding vocal harmonies throughout our performances and also allows us to cover a wide variety of different songs.   We have a professional attitude when it comes to playing but also like to have fun. When the band is not busy playing weddings, corporate events and private functions the band can also be seen playing throughout local pubs within Moray.   Diamond Skies is: Jessie-Ann Flet (Lead Vocals): Jessie-Ann is an outstanding vocalist that has been singing from a young age and has a lot of experience from performing in musicals and theatre work. Jessie-Ann is also the youngest member of the band and joined when she was only 19! Scott Ramsay (Vocals & Guitar): Known as the “Human Jukebox” Scott is easily the most versatile member of the band being able to sing, play guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica, mandolin and drums When not playing with Diamond Skies Scott can be found in many pubs throughout the North East performing by himself, with a piano, guitar, microphone and a loop pedal Scott can bring a whole band just by himself. Daniel Pearson (Vocals & Guitar): The Shred machine himself! Dan has been playing guitar from a very early age, he has an incredible ear which allows him to instantly pick up any bit of music that is thrown his way! Dan really adds another dynamic to the band by really rocking things up and or adding huge soundscapes that will fill out the room. Callum Ord (Bass): The man providing the low end! Callum started playing bass at a young age of 11 after being inspired to take up the instrument from his father. Having played with various different bands for the past 16 years Callum really does know when to play and when not to play! Combined with a strong rhythm section Callum will have everyone up on the dance floor dancing away to his solid grooves. Craig Sim (Vocals & Drums): Picking up the drums while in High School, Craig has been hitting things now for a long time. Alongside being an incredibly solid and tight drummer Craig also doubles up on Vocals to really add an extra dynamic to the band. Craig was also the first member of the band to become a father and when he is not playing with Diamond Skies he can be found teaching his daughter how to play drums.     Your Wedding Day: On your wedding day we will make sure that we arrive to your venue with plenty of time for us to take in and set up our equipment. KCR 107.7
This is Keith Community Radio" - When those words were broadcast at 10.45 on the morning of 17 February 1986, they proclaimed the launch of the smallest radio station of its kind in Britain. A public meeting had been called some months earlier to float the idea and attracted a good number of enthusiasts eager to volunteer their services in putting out a daily diet of programmes to the local hospital and to Nursing Homes in Keith. There was something for everyone in music, requests, news, storytelling, religious slots, sport and interviews with local personalities. Home was a studio in the basement of Randall Webster's house. Randall was one of KCR's founders and, now into his eighties, is KCR's Honorary President. The initial format of KCR closed in March 1993, when the Management Committee decided, in the face of financial difficulties, to "mothball" the service. Then, following changes in legislation on community radio, KCR was revived. With the help of Moray Firth Radio, KCR went back on air in 1997. From then until 2014 we broadcast as an opt-out from Moray Firth Radio using their licence, transmitter and their expertise. In 2013 we applied successfully to Ofcom for our own licence and, having raised the funds to install our own transmitter, we went on the air in 2014 as "KCR107.7FM". Much has changed since that re-birth in 1997 but the volunteers who manage the station and present the programmes remain committed to contributing information and entertainment. These days we broadcast from a space generously provided by local builder, Peter Stott, measuring about six metres by three which is increasingly filled with up-to-date equipment. We also broadcast across a wider area or, as we proudly tell our listeners, "across Moray and beyond.... and, via the internet, to the world on kcr.fm". We started off in 1997 broadcasting from 7pm to 10pm on weekday evenings. Now we broadcast from 6pm to 11pm seven days each week. We present a wide mixture of music programmes from local people who are keen to play you their favourite kind of music. We also offer a range of speech-based programmes ranging from a church service through sports bulletins to locally written short stories. All bar about two hours per week are presented by local volunteers often with local accents and language (though we do have the odd incursion of a voice from further south). KCR has been fortunate to attract the commitment of many people in its existence. Some have passed on to the great broadcaster in the sky but we remain thankful to:-      Charlie McAndie & Colvin Cowie - Station Managers        George Smith, Mark Campbell, Sandy Murdoch & Rev. Ranald Gauld - Presenters KCR continues to seek further opportunities to widen the service we provide to our listeners whether by extending our broadcast hours, improving our equipment and premises or improving the skills and experience of our presenters. We hope you enjoy KCR107.7FM.

Impel Music Group
Impel Music Group 1 Park Terrace, Glasgow, Lanarkshire G3 6BY Category: Music Publishers   IMPEL, which represents the online rights of nearly 50 independent music publishers, is becoming a fully autonomous organization – following in the footsteps of recorded music rights agency Merlin. Up until now IMPEL has been a trading name for a group of music publishers who have given multi-territory online rights to the UK’s Mechanical Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) – but over the next few weeks, IMPEL’s rights will be transferred out of MCPS into a new, standalone company. That new firm, IMPEL Collective Management Limited, will continue to trade as IMPEL. The transition out of MCPS is expected to be completed by April 2018. In a press release, the org called the move “the realisation of a long-held ambition for IMPEL, creating a standalone entity which is entirely focused on its independent members’ interests”. A new membership agreement for IMPEL members will ensure that IMPEL is set up to operate internationally and will facilitate licensing opportunities for its members on a global basis.   “It is no secret that IMPEL has aspirations towards the success of Merlin and this is the next step on that mission.” Simon Platz, IMPEL IMPEL, via its near-50 publisher members, represents cuts in hits recorded by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Drake, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Glass Animals, Rag N Bone Man and Camila Cabello. These publishers look after songwriters such as Ina Wroldsen (Reservoir), Sampha (Beggars), Amy Wadge (BDi Music), Imani Williams (Sentric) and Tom Petty (Wixen). As a separate company, IMPEL will be owned by its members, regardless of whether members are based in the UK or internationally. Under this new structure, IMPEL will become a collection society, subject to the requirements of transparency and efficiency set by the European CRM directive. Furthermore, IMPEL will be more flexible by offering non-exclusivity to members outside of the core IMPEL European territories. This is also expected to be implemented by April 2018. Jane Dyball, CEO of the MPA Group of Companies, said: “In a highly competitive market there is a group of independent music publishers who are firmly committed to sticking together to improve their position in the digital landscape, and to provide a nimble and adaptable service to their members.” Simon Platz, Chair of IMPEL, said: “It is no secret that IMPEL has aspirations towards the success of Merlin and this is the next step on that mission. IMPEL is owned only by independent music publishers. We are a group of publishers totally wedded to independence and totally wedded to being stronger together.”Music Business Worldwide

Alan and Ken first worked together recording a track for charity called “Stardust – Sing Loud For Cancer” which was to raise money for those suffering from the terrible disease. (Listen to the track here). Alan who is also the founder of “The Scottish Unsigned Bands List” aka The SUBlist, put together a Scottish Battle Of The Bands with a main prize of a 4 track EP produced and mixed by Ken. The SUBlist became a stepping stone for the record label.  There was so much talent at the competition that they were urged to draw on their own experiences to create a record label and showcase the talent within Scotland.
